Night Site Production Supervisor
Location: DN4
Shift Pattern: 6pm – 6am, rolling 4 on / 4 off (+ handover)
Salary: £16.00 – £20.00 per hour + £2.00 per hour night premium
Annual Leave: 22.5 days
Reporting to: Site Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Night Site Production Supervisor to lead a small team of three operatives and oversee safe, efficient and productive site operations throughout the night shift.
This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to an experienced mechanically minded Supervisor with a strong background in manufacturing, processing, recycling, aggregates or a similar industrial environment.
The successful candidate will be confident operating mobile plant and, importantly, must have proven experience operating 360 excavators and loading shovels.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of three operatives during the night shift.
* Manage and monitor production against agreed quantity, quality and performance targets.
* Complete production, batch and shift reporting accurately and within required timescales.
* Monitor, control and optimise site activities to maximise productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure all plant and equipment undergo appropriate pre-use checks.
* Maintain high standards of operational performance and ensure required standards are consistently demonstrated.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
* Ensure all employees adhere to required PPE standards and site procedures.
* Ensure compliance with ISO and company management systems.
* Ensure all operatives understand and comply with relevant SSOW, Risk Assessments and COSHH requirements.
* Conduct regular site checks and maintain overall site security.
* Identify and report operational, safety, staffing or maintenance concerns to the Site Manager.
* Complete accurate daily/night shift reports and ensure effective communication between shifts.
* Carry out a 15-minute daily handover with the Site Manager / relevant supervisors, plus approximately one additional hour per week for handover and coordination.
* Manage staff-related matters including timecards, holidays, sickness/absence, rotas, return-to-work processes, training and disciplinary matters as required.
* Monitor and maintain PPM schedules and undertake basic repairs and maintenance where competent to do so.
* Liaise closely with the Maintenance Team regarding breakdowns, preventative maintenance and repairs.
* Report hazards, accidents and near misses promptly to the Line Manager / H&S Manager.
* Monitor contractor permits and ensure outstanding permits are followed through to closure.
* Work closely with the Site Manager, WB & FoH Supervisor and Maintenance Team to ensure smooth site operations.
* Provide feedback to the Site Manager on performance, operational issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, management and directors.

* Strong mechanical background and practical mechanical experience.
* Experience using 360 and loading shovel
