NPI Engineer
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Bonus
Hybrid arrangement
The OpportunityWe’re working with a leading electronics manufacturer to recruit an NPI Engineer. This is a pivotal role within their engineering team, supporting new product introductions and driving process excellence within a high-tech PCB manufacturing environment.

The Role
Act as the process owner for new orders and ensure robust DFM/DFX processes.
Review technical requirements during bid/quote phases.
Define and verify process flows at a granular level.
Produce technical instructions and tooling for production support.
Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to deliver successful NPI and production orders.
Support new manufacturing techniques, capital equipment, and test processes.
Work closely with customers on processes such as ICT/production test.
What You’ll Bring
Background in process controls and best practice in electronics manufacturing.
Knowledge of SMT processes – massively desirable.
Understanding of PCBA production – desirable.
Familiarity with ICT and functional test.
Knowledge of IPC standards.
Experience with process flows, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with teams, customers, and suppliers.
Desirable:
Lean Six Sigma certification
Familiarity with TQM/continuous improvement
Experience with AS9100 standards
