NPI Manufacturing Engineer (Contract)
£40 p/h + Flexible Hours + Lunch Friday Finish
A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen to join a growing engineering business that supplies high-value technologies worldwide. The site produces complex, precision products using modern manufacturing methods and continues to expand due to strong demand. You'll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values initiative and problem-solving. In return, you'll receive an hourly rate of circa £40 p/h (likely outside of IR35), flexible working hours, an early Friday finish, some working from home, and the opportunity for an extended contract.
NPI Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include -
Lead New Product Introduction projects, ensuring smooth transfer of new products into production.
Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and process documentation, keeping ERP data accurate.
Support feasibility and manufacturability reviews for new and existing components.
Provide day-to-day engineering support to production, helping resolve process and material issues.
Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing methods and documentation.
Support root cause analysis, process validation, and engineering change integration.
NPI Manufacturing Engineer - Desirable Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, NPI Engineer, or similar.
Confident using 3D CAD software to interpret and manage engineering drawings.
Solid understanding of mechanical principles and modern manufacturing processes.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive, hands-on approach and strong communication skills.
NPI Manufacturing Engineer Benefits include -
