DCT Recruitment is proud to partner with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Manchester City Centre, as they look to welcome a driven and ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor to their growing litigation department.
This is a unique opportunity to join at an exciting time of expansion, working closely with the Legal Director to build a specialist commercial litigation team in Manchester. You will:
•Work alongside the Legal Director to develop and expand the Manchester litigation team
•Handle a variety of high-value commercial disputes and contractual matters
•Assist in drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and legal opinions
•Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
•Liaise with clients, counsel, and opposing parties
•Be supported by a team that values mentoring, development, and collaboration
This is not just a fee-earner role – it's a chance to play a foundational part in building a new teamshaping internal processes, and contributing to the future of the firm’s litigation offering in Manchester.
You will ideally:
•Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor (up to 1 year PQE), preferably with experience in commercial litigation during your training contract
•Be confident in handling client communications and taking responsibility for your own caseload under supervision
•Demonstrate excellent research, drafting and analytical skills
•Be proactive, commercially aware, and eager to contribute to team and business development
•Have a growth mindset and be seeking genuine long-term progression within litigation
