Nursery Assistant - Fixed Term (Macclesfield Primary School)
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time)
Contract: Fixed term - January 2026 until July 2026
Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic early years professional looking for a rewarding role within a primary school setting? Academics is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Macclesfield to recruit a Nursery Assistant for a fixed-term contract running until July 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Early Years team and make a positive difference to children's learning and development every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Help to create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Assist in promoting children's social, emotional, and physical development
Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and carers to support each child's progress
Ensure children are safe, cared for, and happy throughout the school dayRole Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working with children aged 3-5 years in an early years or nursery setting
A positive, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Paediatric first aid trained (or willing to train)What We Offer:
