Are you an experienced Nursery Assistant looking for flexible and rewarding work in Basingstoke?
Velox Social Care’s Nurseries Team are hiring passionate, reliable individuals to support local nurseries with temporary shift cover across the area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a variety of childcare settings while making a real difference in early years education.
What You’ll Do:
* Work as a Nursery Assistant across different settings in Basingstoke, covering staff absences
* Support children aged 3 months to 5 years in line with EYFS standards
* Assist with daily routines, activities, observations, and planned learning
* Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
* Follow agency and individual nursery policies
* Engage positively with staff, parents, and children
What we’re looking for:
Unqualified Nursery Assistant-
* 1+ year of experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years
* Level 1 in Childcare desirable but not essential
Level 2 Nursery Assistant:
* 1+ year of experience
* Level 2 in Childcare (or mapped equivalent) essential
Level 3 Nursery Nurse:
* 2+ years of experience
* Level 3 in Childcare (or mapped equivalent) essential
To be considered, you must have:
* Right to Work in the UK
* Three references (2 professional, 1 character)
* Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
