Job Description
Supply Heroes are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant/ Nursery Assistant for a lovely and nurturing primary school in Newtown. This full-time position is to start in September 2025 and is for the full academic year.
You’ll be working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting children through their first vital stages of development.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning – Essential, this must be DfE approved
* Experience supporting EYFS pupils in a school setting
* A caring and enthusiastic nature with a passion for early education
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Good teamwork and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation
* Leading small group and 1:1 activities
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
* Creating stimulating learning environments and displays
* Supporting with personal care and daily routines where needed
