Nursery Chef needed in Earlsfield, London!
Part Time Permanent Contract - 25 hours per week
Pay – £14ph
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am to 1:30pm
Remedicare are currently recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Chef for our clients nursery based in the Earlsfield area.
At my clients nursery, they are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for young children. They believe that healthy, nutritious meals are a key part of supporting their development, and they are looking for a passionate and skilled Nursery Chef to join our team.
As their Nursery Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and delivering nutritious, delicious meals for children, ensuring their dietary needs are met while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will work closely with staff to create meal plans, cater to individual dietary requirements, and ensure every child enjoys a balanced and exciting menu.
Nursery Chef - Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for children, adhering to nutritional guidelines.
* Plan seasonal menus that offer variety and cater to specific dietary needs.
* Ensure strict food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
* Accommodate allergies, intolerances, and dietary preferences in meal preparation.
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage to prevent contamination.
* Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and minimise food wastage.
* Work closely with nursery staff to accommodate children’s dietary requirements.
* Promote healthy eating habits and create a positive mealtime environment.
* Keep accurate records of meals, dietary restrictions, and stock levels.
* Stay updated on food safety regulations and children's nutrition trends.
Nursery Chef Role Requirements:
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and individually
* Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of children
* Previous experience as a Nursery Chef.
* Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards.
* Passionate about cooking.
