BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to provide temporary cover at nurseries in Haringey/Camden. This is a key role in ensuring children receive fresh, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook fresh meals and snacks daily for children aged 0–5. Cater to a range of dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural preferences.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and nursery policies. Collaborate with the nursery team to plan balanced menus.
* Keep accurate records of food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergy information.
Working Hours: 25 - 28 Per Week Monday - Friday
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a childcare or educational setting.
* Strong understanding of food allergies, intolerances, and dietary needs. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate Enhanced DBS check (required prior to starting).
