A new OUTSTANDING family run Nursery in Catford is looking to recruit a Deptuty Manager.
The Manager is looking for someone who is confident, warm, caring, kind and passionate about childcare.
This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to work 40 hours per week therefore please only apply if you can commit to the following:
-Monday to Friday
-Shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm
If you meet the following requirements then please apply today:
-Minimum Level 3 Qualified in Childcare
-At least 2 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory role in an Early Years setting
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
-Up to date DBS (If not, must be willing to complete one)
-Understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding & EYFS
-Excellent communication skills both written & spoken
You will be required to carry out the following duties:
-Working in close partnership with the Nursery Manager
-Act as the designated person in charge in the absence of the Nursery Manager
-Commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all children
-Ensure the delivery of outstanding care and education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
-Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
-Supervise and mentor staff, offering guidance, support, and regular supervision and appraisals
-Communicate with children, staff and parents on a daily basis
-To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectations
-To act as an excellent role model to the staff team being able to showcase high quality practice in all areas
-To work with outside professionals where required
-To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
-Uphold a strong safeguarding culture and act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
-Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, health and safety, GDPR, and nursery policies.
-Monitor accident logs, incident records, medication administration, and risk assessments to promote a safe and secure environment.
-Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and nursery operations, ensuring all are GDPR compliant
