Nursery Manager – Early Years Setting (Temp to Perm – 12 Weeks)
Milk Education is proud to be supporting a vibrant and well-established nursery in the recruitment of a Nursery Manager to lead their team in delivering exceptional standards of care and early years education. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent role (initial 12 weeks) offering a rewarding leadership opportunity in a nurturing and purpose-led environment.
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced early years professional who thrives on creating joyful, educational experiences for young children—and who is ready to bring fresh ideas, energy, and EYFS expertise to an already Outstanding-rated setting.
What You’ll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities
Lead & Inspire: Manage and support your nursery team, encouraging a collaborative, motivated and child-focused culture.
Champion Quality: Oversee curriculum delivery (including EYFS), drive continuous improvement, and ensure all practices meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Promote Safeguarding & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety and wellbeing, ensuring all staff operate within safeguarding and health & safety frameworks.
Oversee Operations: Manage nursery budgets, resources, and staffing effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
Engage Families & Community: Build meaningful relationships with parents, carers, and local stakeholders.
Develop Talent: Mentor and guide staff, supporting professional development and high performance across the team.
What We’re Looking For – About You
Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education (NNEB, BTEC, CACHE, NVQ, etc.).
Have at least 2+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role within a nursery or early years setting.
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care.
Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare legislation.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Committed to fostering a positive team culture and inclusive learning environment.
