Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop essential skills through engaging educational activities. This position requires a commitment to educating and inspiring children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties
* Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration.
* Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
* Observe and assess each child's progress, adjusting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
* Facilitate engaging activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social interaction.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
* Recruiting new staff and doing staff supervisions/appraisals/regular observations for well-being and practice
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and educational regulations.
* Keep policies and procedures up to date
* Checking and updating EHCP's, IEPs, support plans and maintaining them whilst feeding back to parents and staff.
* Administration tasks
* Creating children records for admissions
* Organising parent and staff meetings/ training etc
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
* Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
* Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children in your care
