Location: Belper, DE56

Salary: £14.25 - £16.50 per hour

Do you have a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, or at least six months of experience working within an Early Years setting?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic nursery in Belper (DE56) that is looking to welcome a passionate Nursery Practitioner to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive setting that values creativity, curiosity and learning through play, providing children with a safe and stimulating environment to flourish.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work full-time across a variety of shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm, supporting children throughout their daily routines. You will deliver engaging play-based activities, encourage learning through continuous provision, support small group sessions and provide personal care where required. A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the Early Learning Goals and child development is essential. A driving licence is helpful but is not a requirement for the role.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, or a minimum of six months' recent experience within an Early Years setting.
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Early Learning Goals.
• Experience supporting children's learning through continuous provision and play-based activities.
• Confidence working with children individually and in small groups.
• A patient, caring and positive approach with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
