Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Nurse to join a well-established Nursery in Chiswick, Greater London.
Candidates will need to have excellent communications skills and a genuine desire to work with children under 5 years of age.
Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or above
Sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation stage curriculum
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Some of the Nursery Nurse responsibilities will include:
Ensure environment is safe for children, parents and staff through regular maintenance checks on opening and closing
Make sure that equipment, such as furniture and toys, are in good condition and are suitable for children
Building positive relationships with parents and attending regular parent’s evenings to update them on their children’s development
Support the implementation of initiatives whereby parents can get involved in the nursery and with the development of their children’s learning
Create a caring and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play
Key worker responsivities and ensuring children's achievements are celebrated through: regular updates on FB, promo TV in Reception, monthly updating of WOW walls, weekly 'painting of the week'
Supervise activity planning to make sure that children's needs are met and EYFS curriculum is being adhered to
