Nursery Practitioner – Permanent Role
Location: Maldon
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

TeacherActive is working in partnership with a well-established nursery in Maldon, who are seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role – Nursery Practitioner
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s development and wellbeing, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
Promoting children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development through play and structured learning.
Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress to ensure individual learning plans are followed.
Building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of children at all times, following safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Contributing to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery environment.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive setting.
Requirements – Experience and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (Level 3 desirable).
Proven experience working in an early years setting.
A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
The right to work in the UK.
