Nursery Practitioner

The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role within our dedicated team. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will help to create a nurturing and inspiring setting for children. Your responsibilities will include delivering age-appropriate activities, supporting mealtimes, attending to personal care needs, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, celebrating achievements and developmental milestones
Build strong, positive relationships with children and parents, ensuring open and effective communication
Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment at all times
Support children’s emotional well-being, offering comfort and encouragement when needed
Work collaboratively with the team to create a stimulating and creative learning environment
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable
A sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its practical application
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. We value a healthy work–life balance and offer a supportive and welcoming working environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
