Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing early years professional looking to support children in their crucial developmental years?
GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming Early Years setting in St Leonards from September. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5.
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young children through play-based learning, encouraging their emotional, social, and cognitive development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Responsibilities as Nursery Practitioner:
Support children’s development through age-appropriate activities and routines.
Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
Contribute to planning, observations, and progress reports.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence.
Requirements for Nursery Practitioner:
Hold a relevant Early Years qualification.
Have experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
Demonstrate patience, warmth, and excellent communication skills.
Hold a full, up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with explanations for any gaps).
Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
