Job Description

Nursery Practitioners - Ref No. PK66775 On behalf of a fantastic Nursery in Godalming we are currently recruiting for Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioners to join their wonderful team working with any age group. This modern Nursery has places for up to 40 children and is a supportive and encouraging setting. As a Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner you will support with the management for your specific room, and as such you will be a dynamic leader and supportive colleague. This is a full time, permanent position working 40 hours/week with flexible start finish times to suit the successful applicant. This can be worked over 4 or 5 days per week and some part time positions of 2-3 days are also available. This pays a starting rate of up to £30,000 per annum with great opportunities for progression within the organisation, either at this site or one of the sister Nurseries. Benefits include: Childcare discount, meal on shift, vouchers, long service awards Nursery Practitioner Key Duties, You will: * Support the staff team, offering day to day guidance and support to other Nursery Assistants * Ensure the safety of children is paramount and be aware of any potential dangers around them * Be responsible for feeding, washing and changing the children, and generally tending to their physical needs * Need to plan and participate in activities to engage and teach the child, eg. music, painting, reading etc. * Need to liaise with parents and your surrounding team members, monitor progress, keep records and reports, and communicate any suggested improvements that can be made to help the child’s development Nursery Practitioner Skills and Experience * CACHE / Childcare / Early Years Education Level 2 or 3 preferred * A good understanding and knowledge of EYFS * Ideally 1+ years’ experience of working in a nursery For more information on this Level 3 Nursery Practitioner role please call Phil King on (phone number removed)
