Stafflex Education is looking for passionate and flexible Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our supply team, supporting a range of welcoming nurseries and early years settings across Huddersfield this Autumn term.
Whether you're looking for day-to-day flexibility, short-term assignments or longer-term placements, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young children's lives while enjoying flexibility around your own commitments.
About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
Deliver high-quality care, learning and play for children aged 0-5 years
Support children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and creativity
Support daily routines, including feeding, changing and sleep/nap times
Encourage children's language, social, emotional and physical development through play and exploration
Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet each child's individual needs
Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
Follow nursery policies and maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times
Requirements
Essential: Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent recognised qualification
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and children's development
A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
A kind, patient and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Satisfactory references and completion of Stafflex's required safeguarding checks
