Nursery Practitioner – Full Time, Permanent
Location: Colchester
Hours: Monday to Friday (Varied working hours)
Start Date: Immediate (We can be flexible for the right candidate)
Are you a passionate and nurturing individual with experience in early years education? TeacherActive is currently recruiting a Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery setting in Colchester on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children in a safe and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Support children’s learning and development through play and interaction
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Monitor and record children’s progress, identifying areas for development
Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all children
Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with team members to support the overall operation of the nursery
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent) – Essential
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Sound knowledge of the EYFS and child development
A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A valid and enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
