Nursery Practitioner – SEN School

Do you have a heart for helping young children thrive? We’re looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and dedicated team at a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in the Reading area.
About the Role:
As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll support children aged 2–5 with a variety of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. You’ll help create a warm, safe, and inclusive learning environment where every child is celebrated and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver play-based, engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs
Support personal care and sensory activities with empathy and respect
Monitor and record children’s progress, contributing to learning plans
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and families
Foster a nurturing environment that encourages independence and confidence
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic personality
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for making a difference in early childhood education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
