Job Vacancy: Nursery Practitioner - Full-Time & Part-Time Location: Sunderland Daily Rate: £108 - £120 (depending on hours worked) About the Role Empowering Learning is seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Nursery Practitioners to support private day nurseries in Sunderland. We have both full-time and part-time positions available with flexible working options. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where children aged 0-5 years can learn, play, and thrive. Key Responsibilities Caring for Children Ensure the well-being, health, and safety of all children. Support babies, toddlers, and preschool children through daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, nappy changes, and rest periods.Supporting Learning and Development Deliver fun and engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework. Encourage exploration, creativity, and learning through play. Observe, assess, and record children's development and progress.Building Relationships Create strong, trusting bonds with children and their families. Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing updates and progress. Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a consistent and supportive environment.Maintaining a Safe and Clean Setting Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and welcoming at all times. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene procedures.Planning and Record Keeping Assist with curriculum planning, observations, and child profiles. Contribute ideas during planning meetings and develop new activity ideas.What We're Looking For Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent). Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting. A genuine passion for working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development. A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.What We Offer Flexible shift patterns (full-time and part-time available).
