Nursery Preschool Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for either an existing Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career, to manage our beautiful nursery Preschool.
We are a 45 place nursery preschool with 2 classrooms for children from 2-3 and 3-4 years. We focus on working as a team and delivering the highest quality of childcare and education.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, experience of assisting in managing Ofsted Inspections, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and be an inspirational team leader.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of leading and motivating teams
* Experience of managing Safeguarding and Health & Safety
* Experience with Ofsted inspections
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager, or existing experience of Managing a Nursery / Early Years setting
* Qualified to Level 3 or above in childcare/Early Years.
The Nursery Managers key responsibilities:
* Responsibility for managing the daily running and administration of the preschool.
* Compliance to Ofsted regulatory requirements
* Partnership working with parents
* Organising regular staff meetings and training
* Working with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) Curriculum, care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
* Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child's individual development in a stimulating atmosphere
* Ensuring developmental records and observations are kept
* Ensuring staff adhere to and understand all nursery policy and procedures
* Maintaining staff ratios
* Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records.
* To ensure the preschool is running effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds.
The role is all year round, working 4 or 5 days per week 8-6pm.
