Qualified Teachers – Thinking About Leaving the Classroom? 1:1 Nurture Teaching – Liverpool & Merseyside Start Date: Immediate or September 2025 Location: Liverpool and across the Merseyside area Pay: £26 – £30 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Flexible – part-time and full-time options available If you’re a qualified teacher ready for a change from the demands of classroom life, this role could offer you a new, fulfilling way to use your skills. We’re looking for compassionate and experienced teachers to step into 1:1 Nurture Teaching roles, working with children and young people facing barriers to education due to SEMH, SEND or emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA). You'll work in homes, community settings, or supportive environments across Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area. This is an opportunity to move away from the stress of mainstream settings, while still making a meaningful difference — at your pace, on your terms. What You'll Be Doing: * Delivering personalised, 1:1 teaching sessions outside the school environment * Supporting students who are unable to attend school due to social, emotional or mental health needs * Using a trauma-informed, relationship-first approach to help re-engage learners * Collaborating with families, carers, and other professionals to support each student's progress * Helping young people build emotional resilience, confidence, and academic growth What We're Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential * Experience supporting learners with SEMH, SEND, or in alternative provision settings is highly valued * Calm, empathetic, and resilient, with a strong ability to build trust * Confident working independently and able to travel across Merseyside * Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) What You’ll Get: * £26–£30 per hour (PAYE), based on experience * Flexible working that fits your lifestyle and wellbeing * A refreshing change from traditional teaching roles, with less pressure and more impact * Ongoing CPD and access to resources tailored to SEMH education * A supportive, understanding team that recognises the challenges and rewards of this work Take the Next Step If you’re ready to use your teaching experience in a more flexible and impactful way, we’d love to hear from you.
