SEMH Teachers – Flexible 1:1 Nurture Teaching Roles – Wigan & North West

Location: Wigan (with travel across the North West)
Pay: £26 – £30 per hour (PAYE)
Working Hours: Flexible – part-time and full-time options available
Are you an experienced SEMH teacher looking for a new opportunity after half-term or from September? Want to move away from the classroom and make a real difference through 1:1 teaching?
We are currently recruiting Qualified Teachers (QTS) to join our team as Nurture Teachers delivering bespoke education to young people with SEMH, SEND, or EBSA needs. This role offers the chance to work flexibly across Wigan and the wider North West in a rewarding, trauma-informed environment.
The Role:
*
Deliver tailored, 1:1 teaching sessions to pupils outside of traditional school settings (in homes, community spaces, or specialist environments)
*
Support children and young people facing challenges related to SEMH, SEND or school refusal
*
Use trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches to engage students in learning
*
Work closely with families, carers, and external professionals to support holistic progress
*
Help pupils build emotional resilience, confidence, and a pathway back into education
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
*
Experience working with students with SEMH, in PRUs, alternative provision, mainstream or specialist settings
*
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with strong interpersonal skills
*
Confident working independently and travelling across the North West
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
