Job Title: Year 8 Nurture Teacher
Area: West Drayton, London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
About the school:
A specialist SEMH secondary school supporting students aged 11-19 with tailored education and therapeutic provision. Modern facilities include therapy rooms, vocational spaces, and a dedicated wellbeing team.
About the role:
Deliver a differentiated curriculum to a small Year 8 nurture group. Collaborate with therapists and pastoral staff to provide a safe and structured learning environment.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 students with SEMH needs
Build positive relationships and provide consistent emotional support
Use restorative approaches to manage behaviour
Work closely with families and external professionalsRequirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working in SEMH or specialist settings
Strong classroom management skills
