Key Stage Two Nurture Teacher – Salford
£26–£30 per hour (PAYE)
1:1 Relational Teaching | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start
Are you a Key Stage 2 teacher looking for a more meaningful, flexible way to teach — with less pressure and more purpose?
We’re looking for compassionate KS2 educators in Salford to work 1:1 with children who are currently outside mainstream education. You’ll support their academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping them reconnect with learning and, where appropriate, prepare for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
Teaching takes place in calm, nurturing environments such as students’ homes, local libraries, or community centres — not busy classrooms.
Why choose this role?
  *
    Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
  *
    Competitive pay – £26–£30 per hour (PAYE)
  *
    Freedom to teach in a calm, focused setting
  *
    Make a lasting impact on a child’s education and confidence
  *
    Less paperwork, more purpose
What the role involves:
  *
    Delivering tailored 1:1 sessions in English, Maths, and key life skills
  *
    Supporting SATS preparation when necessary, based on the learner’s needs
  *
    Helping pupils build resilience, confidence, and engagement
  *
    Providing a nurturing learning space in a home, library, or community setting
  *
    Working collaboratively with families and professionals to support reintegration into school or preparation for secondary
We’d love to hear from teachers who:
  *
    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  *
    Have experience teaching KS2, particularly Years 5 and 6
  *
    Understand the needs of learners with SEND, SEMH, or EBSA
  *
    Use patience, empathy, and creativity to engage students
  *
    Value emotional development alongside academic progress
  *
    Are familiar with trauma-informed, nurture-based approaches (or open to learning)
Ideal for:
  *
    KS2 teachers seeking more balance and flexibility
  *
    ECTs looking for supported, hands-on experience
  *
    Retired or semi-retired teachers wanting to stay involved in a meaningful way
  *
    Tutors or intervention specialists used to supporting SATS or transitions
What we offer:
  *
    £26–£30 per hour (PAYE)
  *
    Flexible hours that work around you
  *
    Access to CPD, trauma-informed training, and reflective spaces
  *
    Support from a dedicated, understanding consultant
  *
    Regular connection with a values-led, supportive educator community
