Nurture Teacher - Full-Time | Specialist School | QTS Required
A welcoming specialist school in South East London is looking for a compassionate and resilient Nurture Teacher to join their team full-time. This is a rewarding role focused on supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
Autism (ASC)
Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
You'll work with small groups or individual pupils, delivering a tailored curriculum that supports emotional regulation, self-esteem, and readiness to learn.
Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
Experience in primary, SEMH or nurture-based teaching
Strong understanding of SEN and trauma-informed practice
Calm, empathetic and adaptive teaching style
DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
The Role Includes:
Creating a safe, nurturing and structured learning space
Planning engaging, differentiated lessons around social and emotional development
Supporting pupils' transition into wider school life and academic learning
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families
