Occupational Health Technician
Govan, Glasgow
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am – 12:30pm
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive individual to join a multidisciplinary occupational health team based at a client site in Govan near Glasgow. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing their own workload while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out a range of health screening procedures in line with company protocols. This may include baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis
Conducting audiometry and lung function testing
Supporting the delivery of health promotion initiatives
Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring equipment is clean, calibrated, and fit for purpose
About You:
There is no formal qualification required for this role, but suitable backgrounds may include: Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, Offshore Medic, or similar.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in an occupational health or healthcare setting
Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Confident using IT systems
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Good standard of written English and numeracy
Aware of the boundaries of their practice and able to work effectively under supervision
