Main Purpose of The Position:
Provide on-site occupational health care and advice to both employees and Leaders in the workplace. This includes conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, providing health education and ensuring a safe and health work environment. To undertake activities aligned to the PDPR plan, ensuring the departmental goals are achieved to achieve the organisations vision.
Core Duties
Arrange and conducting health assessments in line with the health surveillance programmes across all UK sites to the below to identify and address potential health risks in the workplace: - * Spirometry * Audiometry * Dermatitis * Eyesight Check * Drivers’ medicals * Drug and alcohol abuse * Employment Medicals * Blood Pressure * Providing detailed occupational health reports for employees on long term sick / or returning from absence and recommendations for adjustments in the workplace. Assisting and treat employees who are injured or become ill at work.
Monitor health surveillance program to ensure the effectiveness of health monitoring programs
Plan and complete employee health surveillance at each site
To maintain a log of employees checked and record any issues and to make recommendations
Maintain any stock requirements for the health surveillance checks
Plan and complete any maintenance or calibration of equipment
Supporting Health and Wellbeing campaigns where applicable
Accurate data collation and provide necessary reports.
Ensure confidentiality of employee health information
Participation in company audits and training as necessary
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and procedures
General Administration as requested
Attendance in key meetings, as requested
Travel to other sites, as requested, to provide occupational health support.
Min Requirement for Role Attainment
The successful candidate must be a registered Nurse and have either a MSc or BSc in Occupational Health Practice with experience in Occupational Health screening in Manufacturing.
You must have knowledge to complete all forms of Occupational Health checks and have 3 years’ experience.
We are looking for a person that works well with people and can be flexible.
Full UK driving licence essential with the ability to work across various sites and shift patterns including night shifts to meet business needs.
