Acute Mental Health Occupational Therapist (Locum Agency Role)
About the Role:
* We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist
* This is a 12-week contract providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of service users with complex, severe, and enduring mental health needs.
* Duration of Vacancy: 12 weeks
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours per week: 37.5 Hours
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of service users, delivering evidence-based assessments, treatment, and interventions tailored to individual recovery goals.
* Apply personal recovery principles to enhance service users’ quality of life, supporting them to engage in meaningful activities and live independently.
* Use a high level of clinical knowledge to assess the impact of mental illness and physical conditions, offering practical advice and lifestyle guidance.
* Undertake assessments for equipment, aids, and adaptations to improve the service user’s environment and daily functioning.
* Provide leadership and supervision to junior or unqualified staff, fostering professional development and high standards of care.
What We’re Looking For:
* Registered Occupational Therapist with experience in mental health.
* Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, and intervention for complex cases.
* Ability to work collaboratively, providing guidance and supervision to colleagues.
