We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist on behalf of one of our clients in the Leeds area.
Working with support from Senior Occupational Therapists and under the direction of a Team Manager, you will deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services to individuals, families, and the community. You will promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing while following organisational policies and statutory guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake complex OT assessments, including re-enablement assessments, to reduce barriers to inclusion.
Manage a caseload, plan care, and monitor, review, and evaluate individual needs to ensure effective use of resources.
Organise and prioritise work to meet statutory requirements and service objectives.
Deliver moving and handling and hoist training; conduct risk assessments and recommend equipment or specialist services as needed.
Provide outcome-focused OT interventions to meet assessed needs and promote independence and wellbeing.
Identify specialist housing needs and support access to suitable housing and adaptations.
Deliver, fit, and collect equipment safely, using appropriate moving and handling techniquesEssential Skills & Experience:
Excellent communication skills with service users, families, carers, and multi-agency teams.
Experience conducting OT assessments and delivering person-centred interventions.
Ability to identify and implement appropriate OT interventions to achieve positive outcomes.
Proficient in using technology for recording, reporting, and communication.
Strong clinical reasoning, judgement, and risk assessment skills, including moving and handling expertise.
Experience devising, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating care/support plans.Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £24- £33 (Negotiable DOE).
Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
