The College provides a unique and vital educational environment where students are encouraged to take control of their lives and develop independence. The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team as an Occupational Therapist on a part-time basis (phone number removed) FTE), working term time only. Reporting to the Head of Pastoral and Therapies, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing essential OT services to students with Visual Impairment. The Role: * Devise and deliver individual OT therapy plans for students, supporting their unique needs. * Produce comprehensive Occupational Therapy reports for annual reviews and other assessments. * Maintain meticulous records of OT plans and student progress, including EHCP-related goals. * Conduct assessments for both prospective and existing students, contributing to their ongoing development. * Collaborate closely with the wider college team to ensure seamless integration of OT elements within EHCPs and the College curriculum. * Input into student profiles, risk assessments, and specialist equipment lists. * Champion safeguarding and ensure all relevant protocols are followed promptly. The ideal candidate: * HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist. * Proven experience working as an OT, ideally within an educational or SEND context (SEN/VI experience is desirable). * Exceptional written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues. * The ability to work autonomously and as a vital part of a diverse professional team. * A creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of individual needs and adaptive communication methods. * Commitment to equality and diversity in service delivery.
