Locum Community Occupational Therapist (Urgent care response Team)
We’re looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic community team covering Taunton, West Somerset and Bridgwater. Both Full and Part time will be considered.
About the Role:
* Work in the community delivering urgent care response (UCR) services, supporting crisis management and hospital avoidance.
* Use your rehab skills to set goals and create onward plans tailored to each patient.
* Carry out manual handling assessments and recommend appropriate equipment.
* Manage and prioritise a varied caseload that can change throughout the day.
* Drive across the area to reach patients within a 2-hour timeframe for UCR visits.
Requirements:
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
* Experience in community settings (crisis management/hospital avoidance a plus).
* Confident in manual handling assessments and equipment provision.
* UK driving licence and access to your own car.
* Flexible, adaptable, and skilled in managing changing prioritiesBefore You Apply
