Band 6 Acute Neuro Occupational Therapist (Locum Role)
Monday to Friday, either 08:00–16:00 or 08:30–16:30
Job Overview:
* We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at a large acute hospital in Worcestershire.
* This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
* The successful candidate will work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality care and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage a complex caseload of patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and other neuro-related diagnoses.
* Assess and address cognitive, motor, sensory, and behavioural issues arising from neurological conditions.
* Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions in both acute and rehabilitation settings.
* Complete a range of manual handling assessments and ensure safe patient handling practices.
* Collaborate closely with the wider MDT to provide holistic patient care.
* Supervise and support junior staff and students as required.
* Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrated experience in neurology services (acute in-patient, rehabilitation, or outpatient).
* Proven experience managing patients with cognitive impairments.
* Skilled in a variety of manual handling techniques and assessments.
* Experience in supporting individuals with stroke or neurological conditions, including complex presentations.
* Strong supervisory and mentoring experience.
* Ability to work independently and manage own caseload confidentlyBefore You Apply
