Locum Occupational Therapist & Senior Occupational Therapist – Adults Social Care
Location: Hull
Contract: Locum
Grades: 8 (OT) & 9 (Senior OT)
About the Roles
* Tripod are recruiting for both Occupational Therapists (Grade 8) and Senior Occupational Therapists (Grade 9) within the Adults Social Care Localities teams.
* These are exciting opportunities to join a service committed to a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, supporting people to live independently and achieve positive outcomes in their own homes.
Senior Occupational Therapist (Grade 9)
* Provide specialist and supervisory leadership across the OT service.
* Manage and advise on complex cases, including manual handling and housing adaptations.
* Supervise and support OTs and OTAs, including preceptorship for newly qualified staff.
* Contribute to case conferences, safeguarding reviews, and best interest decisions.
* Ensure practice meets HCPC and RCOT professional standards.
Requirements:
* Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy + HCPC registration.
* Significant post-qualification experience, including staff supervision.
* Strong knowledge of housing adaptations, manual handling, and complex case management.
* Understanding of the Care Act, MCA DoLS, and safeguarding frameworks.
Occupational Therapist (Grade 8)
* Undertake holistic assessments and identify equipment/adaptation needs.
* Support people to maintain independence and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
* Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate case records.
* Supervise OTAs and support OT students as appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with health, housing, and social care partners.
Requirements:
* Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy + HCPC registration.
* Experience in community-based OT practice, including equipment provision and manual handling.
* Knowledge of the Care Act and strengths-based practice.
* Ability to work effectively within multi-agency teams.
