Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support a specialist equipment review project for the Local Authority in Haringey. This is a full-time contract focused solely on conducting MHRA bed and bed rail reviews. The vacancy is initially for 3–6 months, with the potential for extension depending on project progress.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include:
Reviewing existing cases where bed levels and bed rails are in use in the community.
Ensuring all equipment complies with MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) guidelines and local safety protocols.
Completing face-to-face visits to assess risk, functionality, and suitability of equipment.
Recommending adjustments, removals, or replacements as needed to ensure client safety.
Liaising with equipment stores, suppliers, and community teams to action necessary changes.
Maintaining clear documentation and updating case records in line with service standards.To Be Successful:
Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in community or equipment-focused roles.
Strong knowledge of moving and handling, specialist equipment, and risk assessment.
Familiarity with MHRA guidance and clinical governance.
HCPC Registration
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain this for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
