Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapy Support Worker to join Derbyshire Council's North Occupational Therapy Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role
*
Support adults in the community using a strength-based approach.
*
Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions, including equipment provision and adaptations (minor and major).
*
Work collaboratively with housing providers, carers, families and partner agencies.
*
Contribute to inter-agency and multi-disciplinary approaches across health, housing and social care.
*
Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.
What You’ll Bring
*
Proven experience working with adults in the community within a Local Authority setting.
*
Experience of Occupational Therapy interventions such as equipment solutions and adaptations.
*
Knowledge of person-centred, holistic and strength-based approaches.
*
Understanding of the impact of physical, learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions on daily living.
*
Strong case management, prioritisation and communication skills.
*
Ability to travel for home visits and full UK Drivers Licence
