Position: Ocean Import Operations Account Manager
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Salary: up to £35,000 + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm (Flexible with hybrid working)
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holiday

As an Ocean Import Operations Account Manager, you'll act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients - ensuring shipments run smoothly from start to finish while providing an exceptional standard of service. You'll collaborate closely with the wider operations team, balancing the day-to-day detail with the bigger commercial picture.
What you'll be doing:
Manage ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Provide exceptional service to all customers, handling queries and resolving issues promptly.
Invoice and cost files accurately and on time.
Select and negotiate with carriers/service providers to maximise profitability.
Maintain and develop relationships with key clients and suppliers.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to business development.
Ensure all operational procedures and company standards are followed.What we're looking for:
Proven experience in ocean import freight forwarding or a similar logistics role.
Strong communication and customer service skills - you'll be the face of the business for your clients.
A positive, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Commercial awareness and confidence managing profit margins.
