Job Description

OFCS Completions Manager Norfolk area (Offshore) + 12-hour days + 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off + £900/day (£75/hr) The Offshore Converter Station Completions Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion and handover of offshore high voltage direct current (HVDC) converter stations. This role involves managing the final stages of the project, ensuring all systems are properly installed, tested, and documented before being handed over to the client or asset management team. The manager will coordinate with various teams, including construction, commissioning, quality assurance, and stakeholders, to ensure a smooth and timely completion. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and Implement Completion Strategies: Define and implement the project's completion strategy, including the development of a Completions Management Plan aligned with the Handover Management Plan. * Coordinate and Monitor Progress: Oversee and coordinate completion activities, ensuring they are on schedule and within budget, while adhering to safety and quality standards. * Manage Documentation and Handover: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and compliant with requirements, and manage the handover process to the client or asset management team. * Liaise with Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and the client. * Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the completion and handover process. * Quality Assurance: Ensure all systems and equipment meet the required quality standards and specifications. * Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations. * Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the completions team, providing guidance and support throughout the project. Required Skills and Experience: * Technical Qualifications: Engineering degree or relevant technical qualifications. * Strong Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing complex projects, particularly in the offshore or energy sector. * Technical Expertise: Understanding of HVDC converter stations, electrical grids, and related technologies. * Completions Management Experience: Experience in developing and implementing completion strategies and handover plans. * Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and make sound decisions. * Knowledge of Relevant Regulations: Familiarity with CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and other relevant legislation. * Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with project completion. Desirable: * Offshore Wind Experience: Experience working on offshore wind projects, particularly those involving converter stations. * Project Management Qualifications: Relevant project management certifications, such as Prince2 or PMP
