Office / Accounts Administrator 📍 Location: HD7, Slaithwaite, Kirklees 💷 Salary: £20,500 – £27,500 per annum (dependent on experience) Working Hours 39 hours per week Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and versatile Office / Accounts Administrator to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business. This is a new and varied role offering genuine scope for development. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team and will play a key role in keeping office and accounts functions running smoothly. About the Role You’ll be involved in a wide range of administrative and financial tasks, supporting the wider team and management with daily operations. This includes handling accounts processes, payroll assistance, and supporting sales and marketing activity. The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, is confident using office systems, and takes pride in working accurately and efficiently in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities 🔹 General accounts and administrative duties, including credit control, customer credit checks, and staff clocking/time reports. 🔹 Assist with bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations. 🔹 Maintain accurate filing, document control, and record keeping. 🔹 Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook daily; training can be provided for additional systems such as Sage or E2i. 🔹 Support payroll administration and assist with employee timesheet queries. 🔹 Provide assistance to the Sales and Marketing team — processing quotes, posting updates on LinkedIn, and liaising with third-party suppliers. 🔹 Manage post, stationery, and office supplies. 🔹 Welcome visitors, answer calls, and handle general office enquiries professionally. 🔹 Input data accurately into internal systems and ensure information is up to date. 🔹 Support colleagues across departments when required. 🔹 Adhere to company policies, ensuring best practice in Health & Safety, Equality, and Confidentiality. About You ✅ Experience in an office or accounts administration role. ✅ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). ✅ Excellent organisational and communication skills. ✅ High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. ✅ AAT qualification or equivalent (or working towards) is an advantage. ✅ Experience supporting HR or payroll would be beneficial. ✅ A proactive, flexible team player with a positive approach to learning.
