Office Administrator – Housing Developer
Location: Northampton
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Our client, a reputable and fast-growing housing developer based in Northampton, is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to support their head office operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day business activities — from supplier communications to construction support and resident queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Managing incoming calls and emails from suppliers, contractors, architects, and engineers, ensuring prompt responses or referrals to the appropriate team members
* Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient office operations
* Maintaining accurate and confidential property records and databases
* Scheduling and coordinating meetings for directors and senior team members
* Organising and maintaining both digital and physical filing systems, including printing of technical drawings and documentation
* Supporting marketing efforts through the creation and publishing of property and site listings
* Handling tenant/resident enquiries, overseeing maintenance requests, inspections, and certification renewals
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards in the office, and assisting with site-related requirements when needed
* Liaising with contractors and service providers to coordinate maintenance, site access, and repair work
* Managing office and construction supply orders, equipment upkeep, and general workspace organisation
* Delivering excellent customer service to residents, suppliers, and contractors alike
* Assisting in the preparation and tracking of purchase orders for construction materials and services
* Keeping accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation
* Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and order details
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who’s organised, reliable, and confident handling a wide range of administrative tasks. Ideally, you'll have experience in property, construction, or a similar fast-paced environment — but more importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator who’s comfortable juggling priorities and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
