Office & HR Assistant - London Bridge Salary: £30k Hours: 9:15am - 5:30pm (full-time office base role) Join Our Team as an Office & HR Assistant! We are a privately-owned publishing company dedicated to creating high-quality books that cater to a broad, international market. Our vibrant team, united by a passion for delivering excellent content and design, is seeking a proactive and organised Office & HR Assistant to join us in our London Bridge office. Role Overview: As the Office & HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office, while also providing vital support to our HR functions. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on both office management and employee engagement. Key Responsibilities: Office Management & Reception (c. 70%) Be the friendly face at reception, welcoming visitors and managing calls. Oversee office facilities, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for IT, cleaning, maintenance, and more. organise staff events and manage internal communications. Maintain organised office systems and shared resources for easy access. Provide general administrative support to directors and teams as needed. HR Administration & Support (c. 30%) Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with GDPR. Prepare contracts, offer letters, and other essential HR documentation. Assist with onboarding by collecting right-to-work documents and preparing induction packs. Support the Finance & HR Director in updating company policies and the Employee Handbook. Help administer training, wellbeing, and employee engagement initiatives. Provide support for formal HR processes, including note-taking in meetings and preparing correspondence. Skills & Experience Required: Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation. A professional and approachable manner, capable of managing confidential information discreetly. Proficient in Microsoft Office and eager to learn internal systems (e.g., BrightHR, Biblio, Egnyte). Personal Attributes: Proactive and self-motivated, taking ownership of tasks with enthusiasm. Flexible and adaptable, ready to switch between office management and HR support duties. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff at all levels and external partners. Discreet, trustworthy, and always professional in your conduct. Why Join Us?
