Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Lead to oversee operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing daily activities, ensuring high standards of performance, and fostering a positive work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
Duties
* Supervise and participate in mechanical site work, including lining installation, mechanical fitting and fabrication.
* Analyse performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with team members, providing guidance and support.
* Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership qualities that inspire and motivate staff.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
* Facilitate training sessions for new employees and ongoing development for existing staff.
* Maintain clear communication with upper management regarding site performance and challenges.
* Manage scheduling and resource allocation to optimise workflow.
Qualifications
* Site leadership & working experience in industrial/mechanical settings
* Proven background in one or more: wear-resistant linings, mechanical fitting, or steel fabrication,
* Safety passport (ECITB or equivalent)
* First Aid trained
* Strong understanding of health & safety and site best practices
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Clear communication and ability to lead by example
* Initiative, adaptability, and good problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience in shutdowns, maintenance, or large site projects
