One-to-One Teaching Assistant - Year 2 - ADHD & ASD - Tower Hamlets Primary School
Location: Tower Hamlets - Walking distance from Mile End Station
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £90 - £105 per day (depending on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a caring and proactive One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with ADHD and Autism (ASD). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational and personal development.
The Role - One-to-One Teaching Assistant:
Provide focused 1:1 support throughout the school day
Help manage attention, behaviour, and transitions
Implement strategies from the child's EHCP and SEN plans
Support learning across core subjects
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistency
The Ideal One-to-One Teaching Assistant Will:
Have experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD
Be calm, resilient, and patient
Understand how to adapt tasks and routines to support individual needs
Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one)
