As an experienced Operational Buyer as part of the Purchasing team within the Attachments business (specialist vehicles), you’ll play a key role in sourcing and procuring high-quality materials, components and services to support our manufacturing operations worldwide, as well as indirect goods and services to support our corporate functions. Operational Buyer Role:
* Execute day-to-day purchasing operations for timely and cost-effective sourcing.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand operational needs and optimise supply chains.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, enhancing collaboration, performance and value delivery alongside effectively negotiating pricing and terms for optimal outcomes.
* Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business goals.
* Collaborate across regions to leverage purchasing power and ensure consistency.
* Driving cost effectiveness, quality improvements, and innovation within assigned categories will be key within this role.
* Play a crucial role in supplier selection and negotiation activities for new product launches.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to align purchasing with innovation and play a key role in VA/VE activities.
Operational Buyer Requirements:
* Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
* Possess negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favourable terms and pricing are desirable.
* Good communicator with interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* An analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data- driven decisions.
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
