Job Description
We have an amazing opportunity for an Operational Planner to work for an amazing transportation company with amazing benefits. Are you a highly motivated and analytical individual with a strong work ethic and a proactive, problem-solving mindset? While prior scheduling experience is not required, the ideal candidate should have reliable transportation and demonstrate a go-getter attitude. They should be comfortable analysing and challenging existing schedules—not simply identifying errors but proactively suggesting improvements. This requires a strategic approach, where you can assess a schedule, question its efficiency, and propose enhancements to optimise operations.
You will need to have:
* A highly numerate and data-driven, with an awareness of the fundamentals of scheduling, optimisation, and workforce planning.
* Understanding of scheduling and the Optibus scheduling system is preferred, though not essential.
* Geographical knowledge of the areas of operation and responsibility is preferred.
* Experience in motivating and leading a medium-sized team.
* Strong analytical capabilities.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Ability to meet agreed timescales.
