Job Title: Operational Support Administrator
Location: Wonford Hospital, FORCE Cancer Charity, Exeter, EX1 2RN
Hours: 22.5 per week Monday -Wednesday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm - can be flexible but not less than 3 days or 5 mornings / afternoons

What you’ll be responsible for:
· Contribute to the administration of the support services delivered at FORCE, including the benefits service
· Informally assess each contact for their wider emotional, mental, psychological and physiological support needs, making referrals and signposting where appropriate
· Liaise with cancer patients and their families, carers and supportive people tactfully, patiently and with empathy, in line with our ethos of ‘being a real human being’ and offering a warm, humane, caring and empowering presence to service users and colleagues
· Liaising with service users by phone, email and face-to-face to book in appointments for a range of support services
· Booking appointments on the Citizens advice electronic calendar
· General administration duties
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Administration experience
· Excellent telephone manner
· NHS experience / working in a healthcare environment
· Empathetic and understanding
· Competent with Microsoft office programmes
