Operations Assistant – Hybrid (Logistics / Fulfilment)

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid)

Salary: £12 – £17 per hour (£24,000 – £34,000 equivalent)

About the Opportunity:

Vita CV is hiring on behalf of our client, a logistics and fulfilment business supporting fast-moving retail operations across the UK.

With daily order volumes increasing, the operations team needs additional support to keep shipments, updates, and internal coordination running efficiently.

About the Role:

As an Operations Assistant, you will support the day-to-day flow of fulfilment activity, helping ensure orders are processed accurately, delivery issues are resolved quickly, and reporting remains up to date.

This is a practical, fast-paced role where attention to detail and responsiveness are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Monitor 300–500 daily orders and update tracking and operational status reports

·      Liaise with warehouse teams and delivery partners to resolve dispatch or delivery issues

·      Track exceptions, missed SLAs, and failed deliveries, escalating where required

·      Prepare daily and weekly operational summaries for internal stakeholders

·      Maintain accurate records across spreadsheets, systems, and courier portals

·      Support coordination between fulfilment, customer service, and account teams

·      Help improve workflow consistency across repetitive operational processes

What We’re Looking For:

·      Previous experience in operations, fulfilment, logistics, or administrative support

·      Ability to manage high-volume tasks without losing accuracy

·      Strong organisational skills and good written communication

·      Confidence working with systems, trackers, and spreadsheets

·      Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately

·      Reliable approach to process-driven work

Nice to Have:

·      Experience using WMS, courier portals, or operational dashboards

·      Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills

·      Experience working with SLAs or delivery performance metrics
