Operations Associate
Glasgow, United Kingdom (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
12-month temporary contract
£14.36 - £19.50 per hour (base pay rate, excluding holiday pay accrual)
About the Role
The Credit Financing CSG team supports the EMEA Credit Repo Trading Desk, ensuring trades are booked, instructed, and settled efficiently. The role involves liaising with clients, traders, and internal Operations teams to resolve trade discrepancies and deliver exceptional client service.
As the business continues to expand into new products and markets, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of internal and market-driven projects - providing scope for growth and development in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-matching and affirmation of all Credit Financing trades using vendor tools and direct client liaison
Fails management, reconciliation, and resolution of unmatched trades
Collaborating with clients, trading desks, and Operations teams to resolve trade matching issues
Providing first-class service and responding promptly to client queries
Managing high-focus fails with potential P&L impact and ensuring timely updates
Monitoring risk and recall processes, escalating potential buy-in risks where necessary
Identifying and implementing process efficiency's and automation opportunities
Monitoring KRI and KPI thresholds to maintain risk and performance standardSkills & Experience
Previous experience in the Securities Financing or Investment Operations industry preferred
Background in middle office, trade support, client service, settlement, or trade life cycle roles advantageous
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge processes and identify automation opportunities
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation
Proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for process improvement and client service excellence
